HOSPITALITY
Tasting Room:
Today, 19 Trader Vic's restaurants encircle the globe, while The Trader's Polynesian-inspired food, tropical beverage mix and syrup products are served in hundreds of bars and fine dining establishments and throughout the travel industry.

At-home bartenders and chefs find it easy to recreate the fun at home, transforming the ordinary into gourmet with Trader Vic's Food & Beverage Products.
Ambiance:
"To hell with the conventional, the right fork, the right goblet, the fashionable flower arrangement. You can have more real fun with a flower behind your ear, a sparerib in one hand and a drink in the other than you ever will all swaddled in damask, sterling and cut crystal," according to Victor "Trader Vic" Bergeron. The Trader's tradition of celebrating life with high spirits and grand food lives on in his namesake restaurants and wherever customers "Taste the World®" of Trader Vic's family-owned products.

THE BUSINESS
It's been nearly 70 years since "Trader Vic" Bergeron - a colorful world traveler and world-class Epicurean - created his first namesake restaurant in Oakland, California. Among Trader Vic's more tantalizing legacies is the original Mai Tai, the bracingly refreshing rum cocktail he created in his restaurant in 1944 and introduced to the Hawaiian Islands in the 1950s.

Today, this multinational company - run by his three grandchildren - manufactures and handles the global distribution of the famous beverage mixes, syrups, dressings and sauces, including direct to consumers via a new catalog and its website.
